HabitPulse Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how HabitPulse (“the App”) handles information. HabitPulse is a personal productivity habit reminder app. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
1. Summary
- Your habits and completions stay on your devices.
- There is no HabitPulse account and no HabitPulse cloud server in the current version.
- Phone and Watch may sync with each other using Apple WatchConnectivity.
- We do not use advertising or analytics SDKs in the current version.
- We do not use HealthKit.
2. Information stored on your devices
HabitPulse stores the following locally on your iPhone and, when installed, your Apple Watch:
- Habit details you enter (name, emoji, color, daily goal, reminder schedule, haptic pattern)
- Whether reminders are enabled or paused
- Completion events (including a random event identifier used to avoid duplicates across phone and watch)
- App preferences needed to schedule local reminders
HabitPulse does not require you to create an account and does not operate a HabitPulse backend that receives this content.
3. How data moves between your iPhone and Apple Watch
When an Apple Watch with HabitPulse is paired and reachable, the App may transfer habit definitions and completion events between your iPhone and Watch using Apple’s WatchConnectivity framework. That communication happens between your paired devices through Apple system services. HabitPulse does not run its own sync or cloud storage service.
4. Notifications
HabitPulse schedules local notifications for habits you configure and enable. These reminders are generated on-device. HabitPulse does not send marketing messages, promotional pushes, or unrelated notifications.
You can pause habits, turn reminders off in the App, or disable notifications in iOS / watchOS Settings at any time.
5. Tracking, advertising, and analytics
The current version of HabitPulse:
- does not include third-party advertising SDKs;
- does not include analytics or tracking SDKs by default;
- does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes;
- does not use App Tracking Transparency because it does not perform that kind of tracking.
6. Health data
HabitPulse does not integrate with Apple Health / HealthKit and does not read or write health records. Any language about habits or routines is for personal productivity reminders only.
7. Data retention and deletion
- Deleting a habit removes that habit and its related completion history from the local store. When connectivity allows, the removal is synced to a paired Watch.
- Uninstalling HabitPulse removes the App’s on-device data according to Apple’s standard uninstall behavior.
If a future version adds optional cloud sync or accounts, this policy will be updated first, and in-app deletion / account-deletion controls will be provided as required by Apple and applicable law.
8. Children
HabitPulse is not directed to children under 13. Please do not use the App to submit personal information about children.
9. International users
Because data remains on your devices (and, when applicable, transfers only between your paired Apple devices), HabitPulse does not host personal habit content on HabitPulse servers. Apple may process device communications according to Apple’s own privacy practices when WatchConnectivity is used.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as HabitPulse evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date on this page and, for App Store releases, the privacy details declared in App Store Connect.
